MOVIE REVIEW: CODA (2021)

CODA is a heart-warming and feel-good movie that will leave audiences both crying and laughing. It follows the story of Ruby, a deaf teenager who is the only hearing member of her family. While she loves them dearly, she feels like an outsider in her own home and longs for a life outside of their small town. When she falls in love with a hearing boy and starts to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer, she must decide between the life she wants and the family that she loves.

CODA is an uplifting story about following your dreams and being true to yourself. It features amazing performances from its cast, particularly Emilia Jones as Ruby who spent nine months learning American Sign Language to play her role. The film is beautifully shot and captures the stunning landscapes of Cape Cod. It’s an emotional and feel-good movie that will stay with you long after the credits have rolled.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
